Patxi’s Pizza, San Francisco: Gluten-Free Pizza

My best friend from childhood suffers from Celiac disease. Whenever she visits the city from her home in Menlo Park, we always pick a spot that has delicious gluten-free options. Rumor had it that Patxi’s Pizza began baking gluten-free crusts. I had no idea! I’ve been a fan of theirs for a long time now, so I was delighted to share a gluten-free pizza and give it a whirl. Delicious! I’ve had my fair share of gluten-free pizza crusts with her over the years, but I believe Patxi’s Pizza takes the cake, I mean, pizza! I was thoroughly impressed. So was my friend — she is quite the maven of knowing where the good gluten-free pizza is and stated that Patxi’s was one of the best she’s ever had. Delightful! And for all you out there with a dairy allergy or sensitivity, they have a dairy-free cheese alternative for you. The service can’t be beat, it’s a great spot for families (read: kid-friendly) and they are excellent about catering to the allergic community. Just make sure to communicate with your server about your restrictions and how they can accommodate you. Lucky for us Bay Area residents, they also have locations in Palo Alto, Lafayette, and Campbell. You can find all their locations on their homepage.

You know who has really great gluten-free pizzas?… Blue Line Pizza (which is related to Little Star Pizza in SF) has some truly tasty gluten-free options that are totally customizable! They just opened in Downtown Burlingame and have another location in Campbell. I would give them a try – they are really good!!!
