Eating gluten- or wheat-free does not mean you can’t enjoy cookies, cakes, waffles and the likes. We have written numerous posts and uploaded delicious pictures to our Facebook page of some awesome gluten-free sweet treats we’ve come across and tried on our own. Williams Sonoma has an excellent gluten-free baking mix product line. You can buy gluten-free cupcake, cake and cookie mixes. I have tried both their sugar cookie mix (great for holiday cookies) and red velvet mix – and they are both delicious. Order online or buy in store.
Immaculate is a wonderful option if you’re looking for cookie dough that you can make into your own cookies. In addition to being gluten-free, they are also dairy-free. They also happen to be delicious! I made a dozen of the chocolate chunk and I was surprised how chewy they turned out considering there’s no butter in there.
I also really like to dig into a bag of 479 Popcorn. They have so many delicious and unique flavors – mine are the Fleur de Sel Caramel and Vietnemese Cinnamon – truly addicting. Here is their nutritional info page.
Chef Dee has created some original sweet gluten-free recipes for Plate It Safe including her gluten-free, dairy-free oat pancakes and her gluten-free zucchini bread recipe (which also got posted for Cybele Pascal’s Allergy Friendly Friday!). Try them both and let us know how you like them. I thought they hit my sweet tooth just perfectly.
